Summary

cielo does not collect personal data. There are no user accounts, no analytics SDKs, and no advertising identifiers. Your journal lives only on your device.

What is stored where

Your dream entries, tags, and goals are stored locally using iOS UserDefaults.
App settings (tab selection, theme, AI toggle) are stored locally.
No data is uploaded automatically.

Optional cloud refinement

If you enable Cloud AI in Settings and tap the refine icon next to a text field, only that single field's text is sent — over HTTPS — to our backend, which forwards it to an LLM provider (e.g. OpenRouter). The response replaces the field. Neither the request nor the response is logged with personally identifiable information.

Children

cielo is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

Updates to this policy will be reflected on this page with a new effective date.
